COVID-19 Policies

**Players must notify MACRHL Organizers if they test positive or if they believe they were exposed to a person who tested positive.

HIGH RISK:  A player is presumed to have been positive for COVID during a MACRHL game due to a positive test or symptoms that develop within 48 hours of the game.
1) Exposed player notifies MACRHL Organizers
2) An organizer notifies 2 managers of the 2 teams who were in contact with the player. The name of the player will not be disclosed to the manager or teammates.
3) Both managers then notify their players and both teams quarantine for 2 weeks
4) An organizer notifies 2 managers on teams that were not in contact with the player.  These two teams will repeat playing each other for 2 weeks in a row and the managers will decide how to utilize the 2 hours of ice time and notify organizers of their plan
5) Organizers contact the rink, referees, and scorekeeper about the exposed player
6)  The exposed player can return after testing negative OR 10 days since onset of symptoms and 48 hours/symptom-free.

MEDIUM RISK:  A player was in contact with someone who tested positive or is presumed to have had COVID days before the exposed player played in a MACRHL game.
1) Exposed player notifies MACRHL Organizers
2) An organizer notifies 2 managers of the 2 teams who were in contact with the player. The name of the player will not be disclosed to the manager or teammates.
3) Managers notify their players as an FYI
4) The exposed player quarantines for 2 weeks from that time they were exposed
5) Player can come back to MACRHL after the two-week quarantine if they have been symptom-free for 48 hours before returning
6) If the player tests positive or develops symptoms, they will notify MACRHL Organizers (who will then begin HIGH RISK protocol)

LOW RISK: A player was exposed to someone who presumed/tested positive, but hasn’t played a MACRHL game since she was exposed to the infected person
1) Player notifies MACRHL Organizers
2) Exposed player quarantines for 2 weeks and notifies their manager that they won’t be at the game for two weeks
3) Exposed player can come back and play after two-week quarantine if they have been symptom-free for 48 hours before returning

STAY SAFE!
